Call For Availability 978-823-0580

The Conn 8DS with Osmun Blueprinting is a union of two great traditions. The Conn 8D has historically been the orchestral horn for American french horn players for decades and Osmun Music has been a trusted source of repairing horns since the 1980's. We have taken our Blueprinting service that has been popular with Bach trumpets and brought it over to the french horn world.

What is Blueprinting?

Blueprinting is a process that we have developed to enhance each instrument that we work on to perform as the highest example of its make and model. Most instruments today are built in factories that use assembly lines to keep costs low. This can lead to small oversights in the finish product and creating deviations from one instrument to the next. Our Blueprinting service puts the extra labor and time into an instrument to make it the best it can be as it was initially designed. Much like when a guitar player brings a newly purchased guitar to his trusted luthier to set up, Blueprinting assures our customers that they bought a great instrument that will give them peak performance.

-Check solder joints and remove excess solder
