Alex rings are used for compatibility with Alexander, Lawson, Lewis, Rauch, and most other small-production handmade horns. While Conn and Holton use an Alex-compatible ring, an accurate match cannot be guaranteed so try the ring on the horn or bell you want to use before installing.

Alexander rings are made to fit model 103 Alexander bells and will work on most other small/medium horn bells. They need to be re-cut to fit Conn 8D's or other large-bell horns.
