Vincent Bach is renowned as the global standard for trumpet mouthpieces.

A #27 throat is the standard for most models, with a few exceptions:

• The Bach 5V has a #20 throat.
• The 5SV and 5MV have a #25 throat.
• The 6BM has a #26 throat.

Modifications, such as adjusting throat and backbore, threading cups, rims, and backbores, and conversion to the Reeves Sleeve system, typically require one to two days.

For mouthpieces without letter designations, expect deep cups and #10 backbores. Here's what to anticipate with letter-designated models:

• "A" models have very deep cups and #24 backbores.
• "B" models have medium-deep cups and #7 backbores.
• "C" models have medium cups and #10 backbores.
• "D" models have medium-shallow cups and #76 backbores.
• "E" models have shallow cups and #117 backbores.
• "F" models have extra-shallow cups and #76 backbores.
• "W" models have wide cushion rims.
