The Bordogni Vocalises, Volume Three

David Schwartz has taken the beautiful vocal exercises by Marco Bordogni and transcribed them into handsome books and companion audio compact discs with computer synthesized performances of Bordogni's own accompaniments. These accompaniments enforce strict rhythm, encouraging accurate rendition of eighth notes and triplets. The piano left hand cajoles the student into playing in tune. Occasional rubato passages force the development of ensemble skills. Recommended for both practice and recreational playing

With the publication of volume Three of the Schwartz series, trombonists now have, in the companion compact discs, piano accompaniments to 59 out of the 60 exercises Joannes Rochut chose for his Book I of Melodious Etudes.
