The Bob Reeves Classical Series Trumpet Mouthpieces are designed to sound and feel like vintage classical pieces, while being easier to play. The rims and cups are based on Mt. Vernon, Early Elkhart, and other vintages of popular mouthpieces. Bob selected the final mouthpiece contours by comparing examples and templates of hundreds of versions of each model and finding what about those examples players liked best. The backbore is newly designed by Bob Reeves. It plays more in tune and consistent through all registers. The design facilitates a clean, precise articulation. It produces a noble sound that is dark, rich, and resonant. The Classical Series Trumpet Mouthpiece comes on a solid 1-piece blank made to the same high tolerances that all Bob Reeves are made.
